Q. Why do people go grey?
A. As you get older your body starts to produce less colour pigments which determine your hair colour. Hair without colour pigments appears colourless and hence gives the impression of grey hair.
Q. Is it possible to turn completely grey all of a sudden?
A. The greying of hair is usually a gradual process. Nevertheless, it has been known for some people to suddenly turn grey but in rare cases.
Q. Is grey hair hereditary?
A. Yes, the greying of hair can be hereditary and follow suit of one or both of your parents.
Q. Does all body hair turn grey and do blonde people turn grey?
A. Yes, all body and facial hair can turn grey. Blonde hair also turns grey but it is less noticeable because there is less contrast between the colourless (white) hair and the blonde hair.
Q. Is it true that once hair turns grey, you are less likely to lose your hair?
A. No, the greying process does not have an effect on hair loss. Since grey/white hair is less visible (for example in the sink), losing your hair can be less noticeable.
Q. Is there a difference between male and female colouring products?
A. Male colouring products tend to focus on natural shades, since men prefer a more natural colour result that does not look dyed. Colouring products for men also have a much shorter processing time. Colouring products for women on the other hand often contain vibrant fashion shades for a more noticeable colour result.
Q. How long does the colour last?
A. There are 3 different categories of colouring products:
Level 1 = Temporary colourants. The colour lasts between 3 to 12 washes.
Level 2 = Semi-permanent colourants. The colour lasts up to 24 washes.
Level 3 = Permanent colourants. The colour is permanent and will grow out over time.
Q. Does colouring increase hair loss?
A. No, because colouring products react with your hair above the scalp. The origins for losing hair lie in the hair roots below the scalp.
Q. How can I remove colour stains from my hairline?
A. If the colour mixture gets on your skin during the colouring process (e.g. forehead or neck) you can remove the colour from your skin with facial tonic.
Q. Does the sun or swimming have any effect on my hair colour?
A. In general, sunshine and chlorinated water fade your hair colour.
Q. How long does the colour result of Men Perfect last?
A. Men Perfect colour result lasts up to 24 washes.
To maintain the desired hair colour result, we recommend using Men Perfect approximately once a month.
Q. Does it matter at which part of my hair I start the application?
A. Start in the area where you have the most grey (e.g. temples, forehead). Apply the colour gel uniformly throughout the hair in the opposite direction to the natural growth of the hair. If you want to keep some grey at the temples, apply the colour mixture to these areas last and wipe away earlier.
Q. How do I apply Men Perfect?
A. You can apply Men Perfect without help. The Speed-Applicator guarantees an even application of the gentle colour gel on dry hair: Simply mix the Colour Gel and the Developer Lotion in the Applicator Bottle - apply the Colour Gel - leave in - then rinse off...
Q. Does Men Perfect damage my hair?
A. No, the mild formula - with Ginseng and Keratin but without Ammonia – is very gentle to your hair.
Q. What can I do if my natural colour is between two Men Perfect shades?
A. If in doubt about which shade to use, try a lighter shade rather than a darker one.
With the right shade, you will get a natural colour result that does not look “dyed“.
Q. Can I keep the remaining colour mixture in the applicator bottle for a later application?
A. No, do not keep any unused product. Dispose of any unused colour mixture with plenty of water in the sink. Do not leave the mixture in a closed bottle (bottle may expand or burst).
